Loving my TWA!

Hi Lovelies!

Can I just say that I don't regret cutting my hair at all. I'm loving it!

I don't know why but everytime I see myself in the mirror I can't help but smile. It's so funny to me that I was scared to cut my hair only 4 weeks ago. I was planning how I was going to transition and all that. Well look at me know!

Currently I don't really have a regimen as it's been just 3 days since I big chopped. There is a lot of information available about natural haircare and it can be quite overwhelming. So I try not to read to many things because I know I can become a product junkie. And that's not good! Especially while I'm in the TWA stage.

My "regimen" as of now is just co-wash daily, apply a leave-in and gel. At night moisturize and seal. I want to use up all the products that I own. Some products I didn't like on my relaxed hair so maybe I'll like them now. Example is Cantu Shea Butter. Lots of people rave about this leave-in on natural hair, so we'll see how that goes. I'm really interested in the "Curly Girl Method". As soon as my products are all used up I'm going to look into that. Right now the information is too much for me!

Yesterday I cleaned out my drawer with hair accessoires and OMG!! I never realised how much stuff I got. Flexi-rods, rollers, elastic bands, bobby pins, perm rods etc. Not going to be able to use them for a looong time haha. I plan on documenting my hair growth every 2 months on my Youtube channel. Well not hair growth alone because who knows what I will do to my hair. Maybe I want to keep it short for awhile ;)

That's all for now!

She did what?!

Hi Lovelies!

Are you ready for this?

All my relaxed/coloured ends are gone!!

Meet the new natural Vie =)

I thought that I would be scared or something. But I was smiling the whole way through it. My hair has never been this short, so I didn't now how I would look. But I'm still the same ol' Vie. Hair doesn't define me as a person so why hold on to something that's not that important. I was scared of what people would think, but really now that I cut it I couldn't care less. I did buy a wig though just in case I wouldn't like it lol.

I went to Angel Cuts in Rotterdam to get it cut by Jennifer. She did a really good job! Thank you if you're reading this :) I filmed the whole process so when I edit the video I'll share it with you guys. So happy to be going on this new journey. I will still use the same products that I own now.  But I will explain again in another post ;)

What do you think of my new cut? Let me know! =)

Long Term Transition or...

Hi Lovelies!

It's been awhile since I've updated you on my hair and my transition journey. Let me tell y'all. I'm sooo fed up with my hair. I really just want to chop it off. And I mean CHOP IT OFF lol. I don't exactly know why I feel this way. The thought of a long term transition scares me in a way and makes me nervous. I don't think I have the patience to grow my relaxed hair out. I'm also curious how I will look with a really short cut. So why not do it while I'm still young (I'm 25 years old). Now I have to be honest. The chances are high that I will not feel confident after I big chop. If that is the case I will weave it up and leave it alone, just like I would do if I were to long term transition. The only thing I need to know is how long my hair needs to be to put it in braids/weave if I don't like it short. Or find a decent wig (lace wigs in The Netherlands are so expensive!)

My birthday is September 1st. I don't know if I should big chop before my birthday and put it in a nice weave or just wait another 2 months. But yeah knowing myself I will cut it real soon ;)

Please let me know what you think about it =)

Lots of Love
